In 1908, Sevilla played the oldest team in Spain, Recreativo Huelva, in their first officially recorded match. In 1914, Sevilla won the Seville Cup. In 1935, Seville won the Copa del Rey trophy, convincingly victorious over CE Sabadell with a 3-0 margin. This distinguished history is of interest to anyone seeking information about the development of La Liga, and one can imagine those excited Sevilla supporters, clutching their Sevilla tickets and attending matches all those years ago.

More recently, Sevilla FC finished 5th in La Liga in the 2005-2006 season, thereby qualifying for the 2006-2007 UEFA Cup. They went on to qualify for their second consecutive UEFA Cup Final, and modern Spaniards set out to buy Sevilla football tickets and be there when their team made another bid for glory.

In May, 2007, Sevilla faced fellow Spanish side Espanyol in the UEFA Cup Final, in Glasgow, Scotland. Sevilla beat Espanyol on penalties, winning a second consecutive UEFA Cup title, a rare feat which Real Madrid had achieved in the 1985 and 1986 seasons.

Sevilla won their first Spanish trophy for almost sixty years, the Copa Del Rey, in 2006-2007, beating Getafe 1-0 in the final. A 12th minute Kanoute goal was ended Getafe’s hopes for winning the competition, and Sevilla’s silverware booty continued to pile up, as did the demand for Seville tickets.

The Copa del Rey triumph meant that Sevilla qualified for the 2007 Spanish Super Cup, and La Liga Champions Real Madrid were the opponents for the two-legged final. The first leg was played in Seville in August 2007. The result was a 1-0 victory for the Andalusians. The return leg in Madrid the following week was a fairytale business, with Seville winning the match 5-3, creating a 6-3 aggregate victory over Real Madrid. This was Sevilla’s fifth trophy in 15 months, a stupendous achievement.

Sevilla’s Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium has a capacity of 45,500, and is located in the Nervión neighborhood. The stadium is a handsome design, with open stands surrounding the pitch and a pleasant gradient which makes the most of the local climate. Sevilla’s La Liga and cup exploits of late have meant a huge increase in the number of Sevilla season ticket holders. A waiting list for Sevilla tickets has been created, similar to those of larger football clubs, and many have forecast sunny weather for those chasing Sevilla tickets in the near future. Sevilla FC is owned by stockholders, chiefly Sevilla football fans and a small number of major financial holders.

The Sevilla home kit is a white shirt, with red-striped sleeves and black socks, and the away kit is red, with white-striped sleeves. There is also a dash of black in the kits.

Seville football tickets represent a great day or night out for true soccer fans. The climate, the culture, and the recent achievements all contribute to the wonderful atmosphere down there in southwestern Spain, where the sun always shines and the football is a way of life.
